Every so often as I enter new phases of life, I like to shed skin. I try to look at what is coming up in terms of potential opportunities, work, & goals. During this process, I try to detach myself of any weights in my life that might be fogging the "what is" & "what could be" versus the "what was". Obviously, you can learn a lot from where you've been, but I find too much looking over your shoulder can give you sticky feet. This goes for past relationships, institutions, and material possessions. I do often get bored, and crave new surroundings, tastes, and ideas.
So I like to shed skin. There's something spiritually satisfying about throwing out what's become non-utilitarian. This is especially true when it comes to material possessions. Like most, I do find it initially difficult to let go, to throw away, to cut ties, but the sense of freedom that follows is always very rewarding. It's almost macho, ain't it? Trim the fat, don't look back.
So yeah, just wanted to discharge a bit all over you happy internet users. I nearly deleted my account, but I thought that a bit drastic for the time being.
Until next time, kiddies!

I was having those dreams again. Ya know, how it's just me in a castle and I gotta fight, like, a thousand wizards and the only way to beat them is to punch them as hard as I can in their faces.
